Yea i’ve noticed a couple things that changed for the worse, little things here and there. Haven’t noticed the widgets though because I only have one sidebar currently. That’s something that i’ll keep in mind though because i’m planning on having two columns eventually.

My upgrade went very smoothly – no problems there.

However, while there are some good things about 2.5 one real step backwards is the way widgets are managed.

I changed a few things around the other day and the only way I could find to move widgets between sidebars was to ‘Remove’ them, ‘Save the Changes’, ‘Show’ the new sidebar, ‘Add’ them and ‘Save Changes’ again.

Cumbersome or what..!?

I moved tags and categories widgets, so no problem with the process but I don’t know what ‘Removing’ a widget would do to the contents of a Text widget.

So if you want to move a text widget you should definitely take a copy of its contents first!
